Terms and Conditions for 2016 WPD Video Challenge

  1. The promoter is Direct Consulting and Logistics (DCL) Ltd Company whose registered office is at Abuja, FCT. DCL manages the vaccine projects for the Johns Hopkins International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC) in Nigeria.
  2. Women Advocates for Vaccine Access (WAVA) is an initiative of Johns Hopkins IVAC.
  3. The competition is open to the general public except employees of Direct Consulting and Logistics, their close relatives and anyone otherwise affiliated to the organization or judging of the competition.
  4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  5. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  6. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via www.dclnigeria.com. Multiple entries from the same applicants will be accepted.
  7. Closing date for entry will be December 31st, 2016. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. Winners will be announced by the end of January 2017. Note that videos will run all year round for pneumonia awareness creation and will be used during 2017 WPD events.

 

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

  1. DCL reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by DCL.
  2. The prize is as follows: 1st Prize N500,000; 2nd Prize N300,000; and 3rd Prize N200,000. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value. Nigerian financial regulatory terms will be applied accordingly.
  3. Winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges appointed by DCL and partners involved in organizing the challenge. Successful entries will be selected through a thorough screening process by the independent and expert reviewers.
  4. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter/Facebook and/or letter within 30 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  5. DCL will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
  6. DCL and IVAC can use winners or entrants names and images in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Nigerian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  7. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your information to DCL and not to any other party.
  8. Applicant’s personal details will remain confidential except with express permission of applicants if required.
  9. The entrant must be following @WpdNig on Twitter and like our Facebook page: ‘World Pneumonia Day, Nigeria’ in order to enter.
  10. DCL shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions. Such changes shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
  11. DCL also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  12. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
