Project description: IRISS was to improve vaccine uptake, reduce left-out and dropout rates in Kebbi State, Northwest, Nigeria. Designed as a cluster-randomized control study, the project aimed to raise immunization coverage by sending broadcast, targeted and individualized SMS messages on the importance of vaccination, as well as reminders on a child’s vaccination dates and vaccination clinic schedules to community leaders and parents.
